About the Employer and Position

BID13 is a specialized online self-storage auction platform serving storage facilities across Canada and the United States. The company supports storage operators with online auction administration, bidder management, payment recovery, facility onboarding, auction closeout services, record management, and operational support relating to storage lien-sale processes.

The Operations Supervisor position is responsible for overseeing compliance and payment recovery functions, supervising operational staff, supporting storage-facility clients, and ensuring efficient administration of BID13’s auction-support platform.

Responsibilities

Main Duties

·        Supervise and coordinate daily auction-support operations, including bidder inquiries, facility-client requests, auction files, payment recovery matters, refund issues, and cancelled auction cases.

·        Assign, review, monitor, and coordinate the work of auction-support staff.

·        Train workers in duties, policies, procedures, and workflow requirements.

·        Resolve operational issues, bidder disputes, facility complaints, refund requests, and payment-related matters.

·        Establish, update, and enforce internal procedures relating to auction support, bidder follow-up, payment recovery, auction closeout, and documentation standards.

·        Coordinate activities with facility clients and other operational units.

·        Review compliance-sensitive auction files using working knowledge of storage lien-sale processes, Canadian storage lien legislation, and U.S. state-specific lien-sale requirements.

·        Oversee the use of storage-industry software platforms including SiteLink, StorEdge, Cubby, and Hummingbird.

·        Maintain and manage digital databases, operational records, escalation logs, and reporting systems.

·        Prepare and submit operational reports relating to payment recovery, auction completion rates, client escalations, and staff productivity.

·        Onboard and provide workflow guidance to facility clients and internal staff.

·        Ensure compliance with company procedures and operational requirements.

Required Qualifications

Employment Requirements

·        Bachelor's degree in business administration, management, operations management, information systems management, or a related field.

·        Minimum 2 years of experience in administrative operations, online auction operations, storage operations, client operations, payment recovery, collections administration, property management administration, or related operational environments.

·        Experience leading, coordinating, training, or supervising staff.
Experience with online auction workflows, bidder support, auction closeout, payment follow-up, refund issues, or account-resolution processes.

·        Working knowledge of self-storage facility operations, storage lien-sale processes, Canadian storage lien legislation, and U.S. state-specific lien-sale laws and regulatory requirements.

·        Experience using self-storage property management systems, CRM platforms, or similar database-driven software. Experience with SiteLink, StorEdge, Cubby, Hummingbird, or comparable self-storage software is considered a strong asset.

·        Experience with online auction platforms, reporting tools, spreadsheets, customer support systems, and case-management software.
Strong written and verbal English communication skills.
